After three years, several pro subscriptions, and a $20,000 API bill, I’ve learned that there is a massive gap between 'using' AI and truly mastering it. This article serves as a 'notepad' of the lessons I’ve picked up along the way.

Reset context to get better answers

When interacting with an AI, remember that every word you exchange becomes part of its active 'context.' Over time, the AI begins to make assumptions based on that history.

If you notice the quality of responses degrading or the AI becoming stubborn, you have two options:

• The Course Correct: Use a hard pivot like, 'Forget everything we discussed regarding [Topic X]; focus exclusively on [Topic Y].'

• The Hard Reset: For the most effective results, simply start a new chat. A clean slate is always the fastest way to get a direct, high-quality answer.
